The Greater Charlotte Healthcare Executives Group (GCHEG) serves the Charlotte, NC area and all other portions of Western North Carolina not so designated under another Chapter agreement. The group has been in existence since 1985 and currently has membership of over 500.The group acts as a local resource to publicize the national ACHE and the importance of membership. The officers are members and speak to the benefits whenever possible. This is primarily accomplished through networking and speaking events. Literature about national membership, cluster meetings, and the other various College services are routinely made available at scheduled events as well as www.ache.org. The group helps to promote advancement by working closely with the area Regent, the Regent’s Advisory Council, and College staff. Past projects have been undertaken by the organization that include giving notification to those who may qualify for advancement, contacting those who have let their membership lapse to encourage them to rejoin ACHE, and encouraging the formation of local study group aimed at FACHE advancement.
